Zespół powstał na przełomie 1996/1997 roku z inicjatywy basisty Ivy'ego, gitarzysty Chrisera oraz perkusisty - Seby. W 2000 roku po wielu zmianach personalnych zespół zarejestrował swoje pierwsze mini CD zatytułowane "...And The Angels Descended To Earth", w składzie: Crow (wokal), Chriser (gitara elektryczna), Sworn (gitara elektryczna), Ivy Trichiasis (instrumenty klawiszowe) oraz Xen (perkusja). Po nagraniu z zespołu odszedł Xen, a jego miejsce zajął Phoenix. W tym składzie zespól zagrał swoje pierwsze koncerty (m.in. z Vaderem, Parracide, Whorehouse, Thy Disease).
Castle Party is the biggest annual festival of Dark Independent music in the Eastern Europe. The festival has been held since 1994. For three days, over 100 great bands and artists from various backgrounds (Gothic rock, Electro, Industrial, EBM, Darkwave, Neofolk and Noise) play at Bolkow (pronounced as: Bolkoov) Castle. The festival also features several fairs with Goth fashion show, performances, after&before parties and merchandise. Each year thousands of people from around the world come to Castle Party to take part in this unique event.

Front Line Assembly (also known by the acronym FLA) is a Canadian electro-industrial band formed in 1986 by Bill Leeb and Michael Balch after Leeb left Skinny Puppy.
Skinny Puppy is a prominent industrial band, which formed in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1982.
Sound and style
Inspired by the music of Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, et al., Skinny Puppy experimented with electronic recording techniques and methods, composing multi-layered music generally with synthesizers, found sounds, drum machines, manual percussion, tape-splices, traditional instruments, distortion, and samplers. Whereas many contemporary remixes and re-edits of songs were created in order to make a song more suitable for dancing or different radio formats, Skinny Puppy approached remixing and re-editing as an artistic process of reinterpreting compositions, often using remixes to push their sound into styles of ambient, dub and techno.
Skinny Puppy has been widely noted for their bizarre and confrontational live performances, for which every concert was designed to challenge the notions and beliefs of all who attended. Their music has had some acceptance in dance clubs because of its danceable beats, but has had little play on commercial radio. Skinny Puppy experienced little commercial success outside of Canada and the US, although their influence on industrial and electronic music in general is immense.
Joy Division were an English rock band that formed in 1976 in Salford, Greater Manchester. With their dark, cavernous sound and use of synthesizers and electronics, they pioneered the post-punk sound of the late 1970s. The band dissolved in May 1980 after the suicide of its lead singer, Ian Curtis. The remaining members reformed as New Order and have gone on to achieve much critical and commercial success.
Though Joy Division found only modest success during their career, and released only two studio albums, the group have since been acclaimed as one of the most inventive, evocative and influential of their era. Thom Jurek writes "They left just a small bit of music and an echo that still rings".

Zgodnie z wypowiedzią perkusisty Daniela Erlandssona, Arch Enemy ma już nagrane 11 kawałków na nowy materiał. Co prawda następca "Doomsday Machine" nie ma jeszcze znanej daty wydania ani tytułu, ale wiemy, że przy nagraniu nowej płyty bierze udział gitarzysta Christopher Amott, który niedawno powrócił do Arch Enemy. Prace odbywają się w studiu Fredman pod okiem Fredrika Nordströma, który siedzi za konsolą.
13 czerwca w Chorzowie wystąpi legendarny zespół Pearl Jam. Zespół ma na swoim koncie osiem
albumów studyjnych i kilkadziesiąt koncertowych. Jest uznawany za jeden
z najważniejszych zespołów grunge'owych. Tego samego dnia na stadionie chorzowskim
wystąpi również zespół Linkin Park reprezentujący nurt crossover. Jako support przed zagra przedstawiciel polskiej sceny rockowej - Coma.
Jak to dziwnie czasami bywa, że w najmniej spodziewanym momencie dostajemy od losu prezent, który zaskakuje nas całkowicie. Czymś takim była dla mnie płytka kapeli In The Woods... o jakże dziwnym tutyle "Omnio". Jesień jest zazwyczaj najgorszą porą roku dla młodego człowieka. Sczególnie wtedy, gdy ziąb za oknem a i pogoda taka, że ni to wyjść z domu ni to powiesić się na żyrandolu. Jedynym wyjściem jest wtedy siedzenie przed komputerem bądź telewizorem i czekanie aż powiększająca się nuda zeżre człowieka wraz ciuchami.

Creamfields jest największym polskim festiwalem muzyki elektronicznej o światowej renomie. Wydarzenie to odbędzie się 7 lipca 2007 we Wrocławiu. Warto wspomnieć, że impreza odbywać się będzie na pięciu scenach o łącznej powierzchni 100.000m² z nagłośnieniem o mocy 1,5 mln Wat(!)
Caliban - zespół metalcore'owy, założony w Hattingen (Niemcy) w 1997 roku pod nazwą Never Again. Po 6 miesiącach grania, grupa nagrała dwie piosenki na demo, które nigdy nie ujrzało światła dziennego. Piosenki te zostały wysłane do kilku wytwórni płytowych, a Lifeforce Records jako pierwsza zaproponowała im kontrakt.
Cynic was formed in November of 1987 in Miami, Florida by Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert . Paul and Sean were elementary school classmates when they first started making music together. After a series of mini-projects and explorations, they decided to seriously seek out other musicians. For junior high, Paul was sent away to boarding school in upstate New York where he found bass player Mark Van Erp. Mark eventually moved to Miami along with his friend Jack Kelly who was added on vocals thus completing the first official Cynic line-up. This early incarnation of Cynic was focused on making brutal death metal with primary influences taken from bands such as Venom, Possessed, Slayer, Kreator, Destruction and Dark Angel. It is this lineup that would later be featured on the release of their first, self-titled demo in 1988.
Darkwell was born early 1999, with the aim and
motivation to create alive and profound Gothic Metal. All the
bandmembers are expirienced musicians. They know well how to inspire
liveliness in their music, resulting in strong compositions and mature
arrangements.
1999 DARKWELL signed a record-deal with the austrian
label Napalm Records, and in march 2000 they started the recordings of
their debut “Suspiria”. They coupled fragile and though powerful female
vocals with pounding guitarrs and pushing baselines. Shortly after
entering the studio the five went on tour with labal-colleagues
Tristania and The Sins of Thy Beloved. This tour was crowned with
success: They got booked for the Wave Gothic Meeting even before
releasing their first record, followed by many shows and a tour with
Graveworm and Vintersorg.
Pierwszy raz w historii prestiżowego festiwalu Ozzfest, który co roku jest organizowany przez Ozzy'ego Osbourne'a i jego żonę Sharon, wystąpi polski zespół Behemoth. Co prawda, Behemoth nie zagra na głównej scenie, lecz na tzw. drugiej scenie non-rotating, na której jako pierwsi wystąpią także Hatebreed i Mondo Generator. Na głównej scenie gwiazdą oczywiście bedzie sam Ozzy Osbourne oraz Lamb Of God i fińska gwiazda eurowizji - Lordi.
