Finland’s sword-bearing metal merchants Ensiferum are back with a crushing new mini-CD, filled to the brim with melodies honouring the Nordic pagan heritage, delivered with the firm conviction of seasoned professionals they are. Indeed, the band just celebrated their 10th anniversary in a concert on New Year’s Eve, with a possible DVD release of the said show in the works.
